Is it true that non-OEM laptop batteries,even with the same mAh rating,won't hold charge as good as originals?
Original batteries are expensive, so many opt for generic, or non-Oem Batteries instead. But I have heard stories that these generic battery do not hold charge as long as the original counterpart, even though it has the same mAh rating. Is this true? Please share your experiences with generic batteries.
Of course it's not true. It's like the scams about print cartridges - the generic ones are just as good as the OEM ones.
The only possible problem is that the generic companies tend to have less stringent quality control than the brand names, and so the chances of getting a bad unit are slightly higher (although with all the battery recalls lately, obviously Sony/Dell's QC isn't so hot, either)
